The esteemed First Lady, Remi Tinubu, has graced the historic city of Kano with her presence for a one-day official visit.
Mrs. Tinubu and her entourage received a warm welcome at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport on Monday, greeted by Governor Abba Yusuf and members of his administration.
Supporters of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and loyalists of the All Progressives Congress (APC) thronged the airport to extend their greetings to the President’s wife.
Following a brief ceremony at the airport, the first lady’s convoy proceeded directly to the palace of the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado-Bayero, to pay respects and exchange pleasantries.
As she traversed the city, hundreds of residents and schoolchildren lined the streets, waving enthusiastically as she passed by.
During her visit, Mrs. Tinubu is scheduled to inaugurate a multipurpose hall named in her honor at the Faculty of Law, Maryam Abacha American University, adding another feather to her cap of philanthropic endeavors.
