Sodiq Olawoyin, a former cleaner at UBA Foundation, has successfully graduated from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Bola Atta, the Chief Executive Officer of UBA Foundation and Executive Producer of REDTV, announced in an Instagram post on Wednesday that Mr. Olawoyin achieved a second-class degree in public administration.
In her post, Atta commended Olawoyin’s hard work and determination, highlighting his progression from a cleaner to an office clerk at UBA Foundation. She expressed confidence in his future success, noting his dedication to learning various skills such as photography, videography, accounting, and bookkeeping while working at the foundation.
“Congratulations to @its.sodiq who joined the @ubafoundation in 2017 as a cleaner. He soon became an office clerk because of his hard work and determination,” she wrote.
“Sodiq continues to work at the Foundation honing his skills in photography, videography, learning about accounting and bookkeeping as he was going to #unilag (one of Nigeria’s most prestigious unis).
“Today he graduates from Unilag with a second-class degree in Public Administration. I just know this young man is going to do exceptionally well in life. Well done Sodiq! Keep soaring!”

Olawoyin, who identifies himself as a documentary photographer and visual storyteller, shared photos of his graduation day on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the achievement.
“Alhamdulilahi! Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Degree, Public Administration, University of Lagos,” he wrote.
