Aunty Ramota opens up about financial struggles and housing challenges

Nigerian actress Ramota Adetu, popularly known as Aunty Ramota, has revealed the personal and financial struggles she is currently facing. In a video shared online by philanthropist Agiye Amira, known as Isaamira Food Bank on Instagram, the actress disclosed her dire situation, which has left her stranded and without a home.

In the video, Aunty Ramota explained that the woman she had been living with recently got married and asked her to vacate the residence, citing discomfort from her new husband with her staying there.

“I am currently stranded and without a place to stay. The lady I was living with got married last month and asked me to leave because her husband wasn’t comfortable with me being there,” Aunty Ramota shared.

The actress also expressed frustration over the halted progress on her own home, explaining that the individual helping her with the construction stopped the project due to personal reasons.

Additionally, Aunty Ramota accused her management team of financial mismanagement, alleging that they had exploited her earnings, even going as far as deleting her social media accounts.

“The person helping me build my house stopped due to personal issues. To make matters worse, my management team took all the money I had earned. They even deleted my TikTok and other social media accounts,” she revealed.

She further added, “I worked so hard, but they took advantage of me, thinking I wouldn’t understand the scale of what we were earning. Now, I don’t have enough to rent a place. Someone kindly offered to help with accommodation, but I told them I want to finish building my house, even if it’s just one room, so I finally have a place to call my own.”
