Filmmaker Funke Akindele and fashion guru Toyin Lawani have rallied behind reality star Faith Morey, offering their support after she faced body shaming from Galaxy TV presenter Kenny Obinna.
During a segment of the show, Obinna expressed disdain for Faith’s decision to undergo breast enlargement surgery, stating his preference for women with natural bodies.
“I don’t like a woman who has gone under the knife, I will never ever support it. So Faith Morey if I am the last man in this world, I’ll never look at your side, I prefer to marry yam than marry you,” he remarked.
Responding to the incident, Funke Akindele took to Instagram to shower Faith with love, affirming her beauty and sexiness. “We love you FAITH. You’re gorgeous and sexy. @moreyfaith,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, Toyin Lawani criticized Obinna for his insensitive comments, bluntly dismissing his comparison of Faith to a yam. “Not when you look like the yam you are talking about fattty plssssssssss move,” Toyin fired back.
Faith Morey, known for her role in The Real Housewives of Lagos reality show alongside Toyin Lawani, Iyabo Ojo, Laura Ikeji, Tania Omotayo, and Mariam Timmer, has garnered support from her peers amidst the backlash.
