Female entrepreneurs who have made significant strides in the business world shared invaluable insights during the Women’s Day edition of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Business Series held at the bank’s headquarters in Lagos.

The panelists, including Chioma Ikokwu, co-founder and CEO of Good Hair Ltd; Atilola Moronfolu, founder of African Naturalistas; Onyeka Michael-Ugwu, founder of Hello Perfect; and Oshuwa Tunde-Imoyo, actress and CEO of NOUA Skin, emphasized the importance of focusing on meeting specific needs and self-development to build prosperous brands in both the short and long term.

Ikokwu highlighted the significance of meaningful partnerships and collaborations in business, urging entrepreneurs to solve problems directly, separate personal lifestyle from business endeavors, and maintain clarity in their offerings to customers.

Michael-Ugwu stressed the importance of building the right team, emphasizing that a dedicated and motivated team is essential for business growth. She urged business owners to prioritize treating their teams well to foster dedication and commitment.

Moronfolu emphasized the advantage of having a proper business structure, urging entrepreneurs to establish standard operating procedures that function effectively even in their absence. She also emphasized the importance of separating personal and business finances to ensure the independent growth of the business.

Tunde-Imoyo emphasized the value of education and self-investment, encouraging business owners to continuously hone their skills and seek assistance when necessary. She underscored the importance of collaboration and echoed the sentiment of her fellow panelists on the significance of learning and growth.
