Actress Laide Bakare has put an end to swirling rumors suggesting she’s embarked on her third marriage journey. The speculation arose after she shared a cozy video with a man, whom she later clarified as her onscreen partner.
Setting the record straight in a video posted on her Instagram, the mother of three emphasized that the viral clip was merely a scene from a movie, urging the public to refrain from labeling him as her spouse. According to Bakare, the man portrayed her husband in various films, notably in “Oko Laide.”
Addressing the misconception, she firmly stated, “Stop it, you guys. I made it clear before that my video with my colleague was from a movie set. We portrayed spouses, lovers, in multiple films consecutively. He’s not my husband; it’s all acting.”
Bakare’s marital history includes two previous marriages. Her first union with American-based businessman Olumide Okufulure bore a daughter named Simi, while her second marriage to Mutairu Atanda Orilowo in 2012 resulted in two sons. However, the relationship ended amidst allegations of fraudulent activities, leading to Orilowo being declared wanted by the EFCC in 2014.
