The Ogun State Police Command has intensified efforts to track down a man captured on video brutally kicking a young boy, an act that has sparked widespread outrage online.

The disturbing footage, originally shared by Facebook user Adelere Rasaki, surfaced on Thursday, accompanied by a plea for help in identifying the suspect.

In the viral clip, the man delivers a forceful kick to the unsuspecting child, causing him to fall backward, hit his head on the ground, and burst into tears.

Rasaki, in his caption, identified the man as Odukaye Kunle and provided an address in Oko Baale, Ado Odo Ota, Ogun State, urging authorities to take action.

The video quickly gained traction, prompting a response from Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who condemned the act and called for immediate intervention from the Ogun State Police Command.

Police React Swiftly to Viral Video

Taking to X.com on Friday, Adejobi described the assault as “sad and callous,” emphasizing the dangers of uncontrolled anger.

Expressing concerns over the boy’s health, Adejobi urged the authorities to ensure he receives urgent medical assessment and treatment due to the risk of a head injury or internal bleeding from the impact.

“The child must be examined medically. The force of that kick could cause serious internal injuries. Let’s act fast,” he added.

Public Urged to Assist Investigation

As the police continue their search for the suspect, Adejobi also called on members of the public with any useful information to come forward and assist in locating the man behind the cruel act.
