Businesswoman Siju Iluyomade marked her 60th birthday with a heartfelt tribute to the late group chief executive of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, during her thanksgiving service. Mr. Wigwe, a respected member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David branch in Lagos, was fondly remembered by Iluyomade and her congregation.
Speaking at the thanksgiving service, Iluyomade expressed her shock and grief upon hearing about Mr. Wigwe’s passing, along with his wife Chizoba and their son Chizi, in a tragic helicopter crash. She described Mr. Wigwe as faithful and dedicated, emphasizing the impact of his visionary leadership.
Iluyomade led her guests in a moment of silence to honour the memory of the departed, highlighting the profound loss felt by the community. She later shared a touching tribute video on Instagram, commemorating Mr. Wigwe’s legacy as a mentor and visionary leader.
The birthday celebration, which included a thanksgiving service at Trinity Towers, City of David, and a reception at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, was attended by prominent figures such as businesswoman Folorunsho Alakija and the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Olaoye. The event also saw the presence of notable personalities including Tony Elumelu, Toke Makinwa, Rasaq Okoya and his wife Shade, Bisi Olatilo, Samuel Adedoyin and his wife, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, and Bisi Fayemi, among others.
