Teddy Don-Momoh, the widower of the late gospel sensation Kefee, marked her posthumous birthday with a heartfelt tribute. Remarried since April 2023, the radio personality took to Instagram on Tuesday to honor his former wife with a touching photo collage.
In his tribute, Teddy reflected on Kefee, fondly remembering her as a radiant angel who graced the world with her presence and left an indelible mark. “An Angel so beautiful came, saw, and conquered… Happy Posthumous birthday Irikefe Evelyn Obareki Don-Momoh,” he penned, accompanied by the photo montage.
Renowned for her chart-topping anthem ‘Branama’, Kefee’s untimely passing due to lung failure in Los Angeles, California, on June 12, 2014, shook the music world, leaving a void at the age of 34.
Before her union with Teddy, Kefee was previously married to music producer Alec Godwin. Their love story began in 1999 at a local church in Warri, where Alec first laid eyes on Kefee. Over the years, Alec nurtured Kefee’s talent, signing her to his record label, which also housed other notable artists. However, despite their shared journey in music, their marital bliss was marred by challenges, leading to the dissolution of their three-year marriage in 2008.
Though their time together was not without trials, Teddy’s enduring love for Kefee echoes in his poignant tribute, honoring her legacy and the lasting impact she had on his life.
