Mr. Wigwe, along with his wife Chizoba and first son Chizi, tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash on February 9.<\/p>\n

The ill-fated helicopter, operated by Orbic Air LLC, departed from Palm Springs Airport, California, en route to Boulder City, Nevada, before crashing near the Nevada border.<\/p>\n

The Eurocopter EC 130 aircraft, carrying six individuals, including former group chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, met a devastating fate with no survivors.<\/p>\n

In a heartfelt tribute provided exclusively to YEPS on Monday, Mrs. Dabiri-Erewa expressed her profound condolences, recognizing Wigwe’s indelible legacy as a compassionate leader and dedicated professional.<\/p>\n

“In memory of Herbert Wigwe, a compassionate leader and dedicated professional. Your unwavering support, humility, and professionalism during challenging times will always be remembered,” she wrote.<\/p>\n

“This is a profound loss for Access Bank and our country. May his soul find eternal peace. Condolences to his family, friends, and business associates.”<\/p>\n
