Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has stepped up to defend Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi against criticism from social media influencers Tunde Ednut and VeryDarkMan following the team’s defeat at the 2023 AFCON finals.

Since the loss to Cote d’Ivoire, Iwobi has faced scrutiny, with some fans questioning coach Jose Peseiro’s decision to start him in the game.
