As the Eid-el-Fitr festivities approach, the Bauchi State Police Command has ramped up security efforts to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for residents.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Command’s spokesperson, Ahmed Wakil, relayed directives from Commissioner of Police Sani-Omolori Aliyu, emphasizing the need for heightened security across the state.

According to Wakil, all Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Police Officers have been instructed to intensify visibility patrols, particularly in identified black spots and high-risk areas.

A Stern Warning to Troublemakers
The Command also issued a clear message to individuals contemplating any disruptions during the celebrations: Reconsider your actions. The statement urged potential troublemakers to either embrace the spirit of the festivities, seek rehabilitation through the Police, or be prepared to face the full weight of the law.

Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious activities immediately to the nearest Police Station or use the Police Rescue Me App for swift intervention. Emergency helplines—08151849417 and 09053872273—are also available for urgent assistance.

Security Reinforcements in Place
To bolster security, the Command has deployed both uniformed and undercover personnel to monitor intelligence and respond to threats in real time. These officers will be relaying reports to a central control room to ensure swift action against any potential disturbances.

Commissioner Aliyu reassured residents that their safety remains the Police Command’s top priority, extending warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to the Muslim faithful.
