Two Killed, Seven Kidnapped in Ebonyi Communal Clashes

According to the Ebonyi State Police Command, a tragic incident unfolded in Ikachi Village, located in the Akparata area of Effium, Ohaukwu Local Government Area. In the attack, two individuals lost their lives, while seven others were abducted. Additionally, the assailants wreaked havoc by destroying property valued at millions of naira.

Confirming the incident, DSP Joshua Ukandu, the spokesperson for the Ebonyi Police Command, assured that the authorities are actively engaged in restoring peace to the area. Efforts are underway to collaborate with other security agencies to not only address the immediate crisis but also to delve into the underlying causes of the ongoing communal clashes.
